Vibration at >140mph
Discussion
Don't ask where. I did have a big smile on my face when I took the TuscanRR to 140mph...but g*d did it vibrate. The noise I love. The vibration I can do without. So...do you think it's the wheel balancing or is this beast supposed to do this?
By way of driving contrast I get none of this excitement/stress when doing the same speed in a GhiaX 2.5 Mondeo.
I can't see how the Tuscan would reach it's top speed without shaking joints apart :-)

Could be a bent wheel, the TVR spiders arnt the strongest. Get then checked out. I used to take my Tuscan RR to 170+ on many occasions, with no problems at all. The wheel may have a flat spot, or, something as simple as wheel balancing.
Oh, be warned, take some time to learn the Red Rose. It took me 3-4 months to understand the car. They stick like glue, but if they let go in a big fashion, you will not catch it, and you dont want this to happen at 140 +. The problem is becuase they stick more, the let go at higher speeds (in refrence to your other thread)
Just take some time to learn the car is all I would say...
Chris,
Worth a trip to Silverstone TVR, I learn't so much about wheel balance and runout I could win any pub argument
, they use trick balancing gear that has zero tolerence when spinning the wheel up. Plus if that doesn't cure it they apparently have the use of a closed road to diagnose high speed problems such as yours (and no it's not the circuit!)
