Waving speedo (legal?) is annoying me!

My speedo can't stop fidgeting, particularly before the oil hits 70deg and also gets twitchy beyond 100mph. Both the needle and digital readout vary massively from 0 to the current speed. I've scoured the threads and it sounds like a problem others have had. The car's under warrantee so I guess this needs fixing pronto; especially since a police contact leads me to believe a dodgy speedo can get me fined.

Any advice/thoughts?

you need a new rear speedo sensor fitted. Most TVR dealers should have one in stock.

£70 fitted, or you might get it under warrenty if you have one...

It will be done under warranty. I'm on my third sensor. "We've had a bad batch sir!". To be fair this last one seems to be OK & pretty accurate compared to my on board Road Angel.

Out of interest, is there a legal limit to which the speedo can be "out"?? The reason I say this is because most car speedo's are not accurate. In fact I found that the speedo in my Tuscan was the most accurate speedo of any car I've had a GPS system in (when it was working of course).

Re: the Tuscan Transducer, I had mine fitted with a mk3 transducer and it finally seems to have done the trick - so anyone having speedo probs out there I recommend the newer version.
