Only just noticed when figuring out why the main bonnet is sagging on the passenger side wiper arm (perished rubber on the centre support post) that the nearside bonnet pin is miles out of alignment and doesn't actually catch. All the other alignments and shut lines fine and it doesn't vibrate at speed (although it has worn a groove in the scuttle panel). The ball-end pin is very slightly bent, but nowhere near enough to have that amount of misalignment. Am I right in suspecting its been like this since leaving the factory or is there some other explanation ?

I'm guessing this would rule out a hinged bonnet conversion assuming those two pins are then more vital ?

There is adjustment on the bonnet side. I slightly bent the mounting bolt on the sliding clip then rotated it which gives you upto 5mm left right up or down if you see what I mean

Doh !

Even though I had the bonnet off I didn't think to look how it was attached. Will pay more attention next time. Ta.
