Help!!! this fell out from under the steering wheel area

So I was driving along and this part fell out from behind the steering wheel area, I've stripped the area down and can't seem to find what it does or where it goes, as far as I know there is nothing different at the moment but obviously I'm a bit worried something might stop working. Can anyone help and tell me what it is?

From your fusebox? it hangs upside down above your legs and a right bugger to get to

It's from the back board of the dash pod. Mine came loose. I soldered it back on but never did find what it does. I never noticed anything change on the dash display.

ahhh brilliant thanks!!!! thats why the rattle stopped when it fell out.
