assuming you can raise and lower the window with the knob, it's likely to be your door micro switch or the 3 allen key bolts holding the door shut mechanism loose. Try tightening them.(they are under the chrome coverplate) Failing that it's the door control unit in the door full of water, you dealer will fit and provide a new one.

Good luck

What do you mean: “full of water"

My Tuscan takes water in when driving in heavy rain or when cleaning it?
Where can I look for water-collections?
On the inside it accumulates in the ashtray!!!

I might be completely wrong but seem to remember being told to shut door and press the lock button but hold it depressed and that should sort it.

Let me know....

I mean there is a little electronic control unit inside the door that sometimes get damp and needs replaced. Don't worry about it, it seems less common these days on newer cars. Mind you I've only had one go and my car is 4.5 years old although it is garaged.

cheers

I have the same on-going issue. .first time it went back it was the ECU chip not conecting correctly and simple job to replace.. since then I have had 3 solenoids (sorry for spelling but never knew anything about cars excpet stop and go pedals before owning a tvr!) blow (inside 2 months).. mild amusement to all as I either Duke's of Hazard it out of the roof or "elegantly" slide across to the passenger seat and out that door.

Fernhurst have been great and car is in on Tuesday for indepth so hopefully they can work it out and will let you know of outcome.. suspect water is getting into the plate and shorting something...
