Hi,
I hope someone can help...
I replaced my throttle cable a short while back after it had snapped. Fairly easy job, but I now have a slightly notchy/gritty feeling in the first centimetre or so of travel in the pedal. What could this be and does anyone have any idea how to rectify this? I'm worried that the cable is rubbing and causing premature wear.
Cheers,

nrick

There are 2 linkages for the MK1, you have to be sure the bracket is bent a little to ensure the path of the cable follows the movement of the pedal. Have you made sure it is seated properly at the throttlebodies and the pedal? There are also a couple of different versions of cable with the later ones having a PTFE sleeve at the pedal end. Worth taking some photo's

I did bend the bracket ever so slightly (maybe not enough though), but everything is definitely seated correctly at both ends. I'm thinking perhaps it must be the bracket.
