Hi guys, I've done part of the work on my own bonnet conversion, I've turned a pair of ally bosses and cut the corners out roughly, it all sits nicely in the closed position and I can open it a few inches so I know the geometry is good, however I need to trim some of the front lip so it actually opens further.

The orange circle is basically the radius from the centre hinge point, so I believe I need to trim the red hatched area, what I'm not sure about is how far towards the middle of the bonnet I need to go! I'm hoping a couple of inches either end, fading quickly to nothing (moving towards middle) is all I need to cut, can anyone who has done the conversion confirm this please? I'm using M8 rose joints by the way.

Many thanks.

Wow so practically the entire thick lip on the bottom, I'll start trimming and keep mocking it up I think, thanks
