cerbera cats on a tuscan
Discussion
got a chance of a set of new cerbera cats.
they are slightly longer than tuscan ones, but look like they'll fit if I chopped the ends down a bit.
the only other problem is that the actual 'can bit' is also a little longer.
anyone any idea if there is space for them to fit ? i.e. they can be made the same length, but the cerbera ones will be wider for longer.
I have a picture of em side by side...and there's not much in it.

Stu, why do you need them? What was the outcome also, you can mail me offline if you like
Mr F
no one know if these will fit then ? jools ? anyone ?
I've got em now... so suppose I'll find out when I try to fit em, but still.
What I reckon I'll do is get one the the existing cats off, then measure it up and cut the cerb ones to size.
Since if I take em round the exhaust place, they'll have to cut em with oxy-acetalyne...
1) it's stainless so that ain't gonna be easy
2) they'll make a mess of it.
If I do it in my garage I can use a hacksaw, etc.
But if anyone knows a reason why this ain't gonna work I'd appreciate them piping up before I start.

yeh I wasn't gonna cut the cat down, just cut a bit off the top pipe to bring it to the same overall length as the tuscan one.
so length will be the same for both (so I thought it would fit in).
ok the fat-cat bit would be longer, but assumed that as long as there is room under the car this would be ok.
if the cats fit into a

/
| |
| |
| | <- short body
shaped 'hole though, and the new cats are
| | <-cut down top
/
| |
| |
| |
| | <- longer cat body
and therefore the 'fat bit' is too long.. then I suppose I'm chubbed.
