Fuel pump not priming/Immobiliser issue after working on key
Discussion
Hi Guys and Girls,
A very happy New Year to all of you.
Just tried starting my Tuscan II after I had some soldering done to my key fob.
The red tiny button as seen in this picture came loose but had it fixed a few weeks ago. At that time I checked whether the doors opened and they did so I assumed all worked as it should. (didn't start the car if I remember correctly)
Now when I tried starting the car this morning, the fuel pump does not prime and starter mortor doesn't turn over. Could it be possible that when soldering on the motherboard the immobiliser-part was damaged?
And if so, what part is the immobiliser? When I insert the other immobiliser bit in the hole under the flashy light, nothing happens...
Have not yet tried putting 12V to the fuel pump but can anyone help me out?? Does the system need to be reset and if so, how?

Thanks for your kind help and enjoy your motors in 2016!
Filip

If the key fob or immobiliser key no longer work sounds as though the immobiliser has a problem. I doubt the repair to the key fob switch could cause this problem particularly as it opens the doors. Try disconnecting the battery & re-connecting, but keep the key fob out of the car as the doors may lock themselves.
Will try immediately and keep you posted!
Thanks.

Worked a treat!
PH rules but I feel like a dumbass though. There goes me thinking I'm quite a mechanic...

Cheers!
