Replacing rear springs?

I think one of my rear springs needs replacing on my Tuscan. Obviously, I am going to replace both sides.
Have any of you good people on here done this job?
Will I need to clamp the springs or is there enough clearance?

No clamping required once the suspension is no longer under tension.

In the process of stripping mine re-powder coating everything and fitting poly bushes... The shocks effectively held in with two bolts
