Replacement hose??

After the panic went when I realised the smoke coming from the engine was only a split hose and nothing worse, the confusion began when trying to work out what it is called and where to get just the one hose and not a whole set. I assume this is can be replaced by a hose from a standard car? Can anyone tell me exactly what this hose is and what I can replace it with as I am getting nowhere on the Internet. It is on the passager side of the engine at the top and joins to a metal pipe that goes round the engine to the front and then enters the block in the middle. It is 25cm long and right angled and 3 cm wide. In the other direction it disappears into the body work. I will get a photo up in due course. Thanks Nick

That's what I thought. You wouldn't have thought it was that hard would you. I think it is the heather rail pipe... But can't be 100% sure. I can't even find an engine diagram with labels that would help. But thanks... I will make some calls as well tomorrow to be sure... Cheers

Yes it is a hose to the heater element in the compartment under the bulges. I took it apart at one point.
