Hi Guys,

The heated mirrors don't seem to be working on my MK1, pressing the little button above the mirror adjustment joystick does nothing - red LED won't light.

I've pulled off the door card and started to take a look, but I can't seem to work out what wires in the loom to the mirror control panel are specifically for the heated mirrors.

I'll try and clean up the contacts etc, but any suggestions as to where to look, or the colours of the wires in the loom are for the heated mirrors?

Is there any easy way to test them? Perhaps it's simply the case that the LED is dud?

Cheers,
Malc

Not really - Been like this since I purchased the car back in April.

So could have always been that way as far as I know!

I had mirror issues, direction not heated, but this was due to water corrosion in the block connector inside the door. One pin was rotted and the others needed a good clean. Pin replaced and the rest cleaned and all was fine

Stripped it all down, looks like its just a dud LED - can hear the relay clicking on, can see 5v going to the LED bit its not lighting.

Will head to Maplins for a replacement, out with the soldering bolt.
