I have decided after all not to sell the car. I am now keeping it until after Le Mans.

I think I would have been heartbroken to see someone else drive off in it.

Anyone else had trouble saying goodbye?

Had no problem saying HELLO to mine yesterday.
It's a hell of a lot different to the Chim. Forget the power difference - I haven't really gone there yet.
The Tamora steering is superb and does not understeer at all - tramlines a bit but then that is probably the lousy Kent roads although the Chim (when the SO2s were warmed up)tramlined less.
It's a real bag of rattly nails when cold and takes quite a while to get up to 60 degrees. When the oil is warm, the engine is very smooth and a superb sound.
The transmission noise, paricularly on the over-run, takes a bit of getting used to.
Got stuck in a huge traffic jam and the car behaved perfectly - water at 90/92 and oil temp at 80.
First impressions after 100 miles -

Brent,
Must say the car suited you.

Can we look forward to seeing you at a SE London/NE Kent meet?
You can be certain of a warm welcome. I will even buy you a drink.

My dear Mum always warned me about accepting drinks from car salesman!!!!
Funny that she said nothing about sweets and strangers though!!
Will try and get along to the next meet. Problem is my business travel which means I have to go to Egypt, South Africa, Poland, Germany and Spain - all in the next 2 weeks.
Not much time for Tuscan playtime.
When is the next meet? The 28th March?

28th of March is correct Brent, also happens to be Easter Monday, there will probably be a run out during the day with a meet up at the pub later. I'll keep you posted.

Off on my overseas travels tomorrow. Might have a problem with playing cars on Easter Monday after being away for a few days.
The Gafferess probably has family plans already made for Easter so will have to play it by .
