Anyone know what the correct tyre pressures are for the Tuscan S? Hand book says 24 front 25 rear, which is what ive been using but noticed today that they are quoting 235/35 front and 255/35 rear, mine has 255/35 all round. Tried 25lb in the front, seems too hard and made it even more skitish than normal. After a bit of trial and error, best seems to be 22/f 24/r but I dont want to bugger the tyres under-inflating them. Goodyear F1's BTW

The S has 255/35 ZR 18's all round. The pressures in my 2003 hand book are:

Front: 28psi, Rear: 25psi for sustained high speed or fully laden driving

Front and Rear: 28psi for performance technique driving.

Agree with the specs given above (in the "they're the textbook" sense). Personally run 25 all round. Actually prefer 24 or so, but always overfill slightly as I'd rather not accidentally go out one day without checking and try turning a corner with 18 PSI in the fronts to plough staight into a kerb.

If you car is skittish get it taken in & have the geometry looked at. It should be as solid as a rock at anything below speeds that you'll be hard pushed to reach in any gear other than 5th. If you get an alignment done and it comes back just as bad, then do the following:

Request your money back, take it somewhere else that seems to have a better idea of what they're doing, and try again.
Repeat as required.
