Have had a bit of a clean up around the engine bay whilst the motor is being rebuilt.

All looks fine except for some corrosion on the chassis where it is close to the exhaust manifolds - need to clean this up and repaint. Can anyone suggest a heat proof paint that is compatible with the chassis powder coating ?

I'm also thinking about making up a small heat shield to protect this part of the chassis in future. Would be grateful if anyone could measure the clearance between the exhausts and the chassis so that I can see how much space I have to play with.

Cheers

Mine is suffering from the same and Gorners are sorting it out for me as part of the service. From memory there is very little room in mine (probably about an inch or so) between the chassis rail and the headers.

Thought about thermo-tec tape on header?

The chassis is powder coated - but probably not the best feature of any TVR. Saying that, it has improved over the last decade.

Gorners haven't sorted mine out after all so I'm in same position. Apparently there is a heat shield fitted to later vehicles so maybe available from TVR.
