My front alloys are a bit scuffed and I am pretty sure a slow leak from the offside front is due to a crack in the alloy.

Has anyone been able to source new TVR 18" spiders without going through a dealer, and if so where and how much? TVR want circa £250 each (I don't know whether that included VAT), but still a bit steep compared to a lot of other alloys.

That will be inclusive of VAT, but it's still very pricey.

Last time I bought one, then were 160 quid each or something (1200 for a set with tyres IIRC).

I think the spider is licensed to TVR so noone else can retail them...

The price went up in the last couple of years (i.e. they were a lot cheaper when I shod the Cerb in them than when I replaced a Tusc one a few months back). Seem to remember paying £200+VAT in October/November for one from Harrogate Horseless Carriages. Admittedly, I was in desperate need and didn't get a chance to phone around, but £250 all in is about right.

You could tell us how much those 20" Jaguar wheels are each, that'll make the TVR cost easier to swallow.

Hope you're enjoying it by the way (and yes, you have a problem - get help!).

Hmmm. Yes. Umm. Well... at least I didn't have to pay for them new. (Lets just say they're "a bit more" than £200 each from a dealer, eh?)

Frightening thing is - cheapest I can find decent 285/30 ZR20 tyres for is about £250. Good job I blagged a spare pair out of the garage.

Pick it up tomorrow, so we'll see...
