Aloha - a few questions
Discussion
Hello wise and wonderful Tuscaneers,
A few boring question for you all, apologies for undoubted repition of other threads
1. If a 2002 4.0 is advertised at 29995 at a non-tvr specialist dealer what sort of final price do you guys think I could get after turkish carpet buying-esque negotiation?
2. Those of you who have had traction control fitted, where did you get it done? and what did it come to all in? (I read about some place in Luton and maybe Racing Green?)
3. Is there some list of all the secret owners stuff I can get my hands on (i.e. always park in gear, way in thru the boot, strategic velcro application points)
4. Jools, could you drop me a note via my profile about fitting a Nitron suspention kit with a road orientated vibe? Choices and costs. Many thanks. (I assuming the the Joospeed suspention watch "bot" will pick this up!
)
And yes, advanced driving lessons are the first accessory I will be equiping myself with...
Many thanks,
Anit
P.S. Feel free to mail me via profile if you wish.

1. Depends on the dealer. You're hitting silly-season for buying, though, so you'd probably have done better a month ago. I'd probably aim for £28500, serviced, with all the niggles taken care of (make sure you check carefully for the niggles & get them all listed as things to sort!)
2. I think it's the RaceLogic system that's been fitted to cars. I believe RaceLogic might be moving onto bigger and better things, and abandoning such smally-scale follies, though (I think they've got the Aston Martin contract, for instance). Racing Green are probably good chaps to talk to, though, as I believe they've had plenty of dealings with RaceLogic.
3. I prepared an "unofficial owners guide" for the guy that bought my car; I'm happy to send that across to anyone. Might even post it on the forum, if anyone's interested
4. Not sure Joolz will pick this one up - nothing interesting in the thread title.
I'd suggest getting used to a good, sorted Tuscan first, before throwing money at Nitrons. If the car doesn't feel to be handling well, Nitrons are NOT the answer. Read this thread: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=153038&f=5&h=0& and get all that sorted. Then, if you find it's still not good enough, get Nitrons.
Hope that helps.

Ah yes, I remember reading of your trials with repeated sets of things and stuff!
Many thanks for the advice, and I'd be grateful for a copy of your guide!
Unfortunately my yearly bonus (paid six months in arrears - you can bet that makes me feel good) has yet to materialise so I will be further into silly season I suspect... curses
