Passenger Window?
Discussion
Newbie here!
So both windows are in the down position.
So I’m leaving the car and blip the Blipper to lock.
With me so far...good.
Question!
Should BOTH the window fully shut when armed?
As it seems my passenger window only comes to rest at half-mast!
So car is still accessible through passenger door!
Or do "They all do that sir?

They should both fully shut when armed, sounds like the door encoder lost count. When you open the passenger door does it behave 'normally'?

Same thing happened to me last weekend. Passenger window would not close past the halfway stage. Fiddled around and it eventually went up.
Took it out for a blast and at the first bump in the road, the passenger window dropped to half-mast and the dash read-out said "door open".
Looked at the lock mechanism in the door frame and found some intoward movement in the lock mechanism. Just to be safe, took it back to the dealer who agreed with my findings and fixed it within minutes. The lock mechanism had worked slightly loose, moved back on its settings, thought the door was open and therefore stopped the window mechanism from closing the window.
Please God - make any other problems so easy to fix.

Before you try any more serious measures, I was told of a way of "resetting" the windows.
And no they shouldn't all do that, Sir!
Basically - and I can't remember which way round this is - take each window down.... one "notch" at a time ... and back up ... one "notch" at a time... and this should reset the whole system.
NB:
a) I've not tried this method personally (not had any similar issues (yet))
b) I got it from a good source
c) I don't see how it can do any harm anyway
d) what do you need the windows for anyway

Thanks Ron, tried that a couple of time on each window whilst the drivers side comes up and goes down in prescribed notches the passenger side doesn’t.
The passenger side seems to miss two in between each working notch and the window falls or rises about three notches worth.
If that makes sense!
No probs it's going into Fernies tomorrow for a week, I'll add that problem to the list of other things to do.

Many things on the list?
Not really Steve, it's primarily going in for a Speedo repair and to have a Pioneer SatNav fitted.
So whilst it's up there for a week I'll get them to do a few small jobs.
Couple of new rear screen catches, existing ones are slightly worn and are a fiddle to do up.
Having the Road Angle hard wired in, instead or the ciggy thing, plus the addition of an on/off switch.
Don't think I'm using the central locking button properly, can't seem to get it to work. It could be me.
General tidy, wheels off and a good scrub, bit of glue required on a couple of seals.
That’s about it. (hopefully)

Enjoy! (I miss popping in to Fernhurst for a tyre kick & a coffee.)
