Tuscan - after market alloys
Discussion

I'm afriad I have to agree, there are no cuts, no sharp lines and no exagerrated detail on the tuscan's body.... this is why the standard spiders suit it perfectly.... I dont think there are any alloys out there that would suit the tuscan better.... its just toooooo flamboyant.... and the wheels have to be balanced otherwise they start to compete with the body for attention and thats when you know you're moving into 'chav' territory... design and harmony is key.... the black body doesnt help either... thats a very aggressive color - beautiful - and I dont recommend you change the wheels... if anything, I'd say get the spiders sprayed dark anthracite or black.... I believe there are places that can do it for 50 quid a corner....
try it, photoshop the original image and blacken the alloys....
also stick a smaller number plate up on the front.... and darken out the indicator lenses too....

yeh the ones on your profile are the best I think.
what are they ?
I took that pic of my car down in margate against a dull british see and sky, then did some jibbery pockery! in photoshop and blended some of my holiday photos in, the water is from a lake in kuala lumpar, the beach is from Thailand, its the beach where they filmed the film "the beach" and the birds(black knecked craines) and distant mountains are from Bhutan.
I knew all these pics would come in useful one day

If you're gonna go aftermarket, get something rare, dont put on wheels that every 'boy' uses, trust me! I've seen a tvr already with 'ace' alloys....

before I do I want to sort the handling out first as urrently it sucks, pulling all over the place, if I can't get it to improve I will sell it and get an R34 skyline.
Trust uncle J. Do as he says on the other thread and all will be well in the world of Tuscan handling.
Rest assured that, although yours is bad, you didn't get "a bad one" as such - the vast majority of Tuscans I've driven appear to have been set up by a blind chimp with a penchant for smacking wishbones with a lump hammer. Once it's fettled properly by those in the know it'll become one with you (or a tree if you push it too hard)... finger tips to steer, trusting the camber on corners to do half of the work for you, etc. Have patience - these cars take time to bed in with a new owner.
Nevil, just spotted your theory7 website, by the way... can I recommend that if you haven't already done so, you start considering migrating some of the products across to Macromedia's Flex, or producing other stuff entirely for Flex (i.e. controls/widgets/apps); there's gonna be a sizeable market there to mop up.

I feel I got a good car, I picked one that had just had an engine rebuild with full 12 month warranty from TVR on the engine, and also had about £5000 spent on bits and pieces over the past year, all bits that I would have ended up having to do, the handling for me though is just a bit of a surprise.
I am going to see what my dealer says or does for me this monday when its in for a service, then if no improvement I will look at the mods, though would rather spend the money on adding proper ICE as the system that came with it sucks.

argh, not another technology, I can't keep up, If I had the time I would look at it, but I am just about to launch a new company www.modifieddrive.com so time will dwindle even further...

Get the Skyline! Lowering, lots of ICE, bling wheels etc, yuk!
In all seriousness, lowering the Tuscan is definately not the way to go. It'll probably make the handling worse and will certainly make it bottom out (a lot!) .
I'd concentrate on getting the standard car sorted before doing anything drastic.

Wouldn't even put the Nitrons on until it's handling well without them, or you're just covering up other problems with what should be "improvements" not "quick fixes".

It was an assumption (given that you posted a thread of pictures of your car with different wheels and lowered suspension). If you intend to swap the wheels and keep the ride height, why not just post pictures of what it'll look like?
If you intend to do neither then my apologies for mis-understanding....

I said in my post that I just did these pics for fun. I might add aftermarket alloys when I can afford too.
