The handling on my Tuscan was always pretty good since getting Nitron suspension soon after I puchased it. However a clipped kerb a few months back resulted in some pretty scary moments handling wise. I decided to replace the wheel which took the brunt of said clippage and invested in some new rubber (Toyos Proxes front and SO3s rear) and the handling is much, much better now but it does still veer to the left ever so slightly when going "hands free" at speed. I think a full geometry check is in order. Can anyone recommend somewhere in the North/ Yorkshire area?

You will naturally veer to the left on many single lane roads and the inside lane of dual carriageways/motorways in the UK because of the camber. Suggest you try the middle lane of the M1/M62 first. The straight downhill run from Huddersfield (Ainley Top) to Brighouse on the M62 is a great test (for how true the steering is, and VMax ). The middle lane there is spot on (or was a couple of years back) - ran the Elise all the way down without touching the wheel once.

Can't think of anywhere within the local area that's a real specialist besides dealers. I'd have thought HHC would be able to help out, but I've no idea how hot they are on this stuff. Other than that, take a trip across the Pennines to Gorners one day? If you can spare a few hours and have it booked in in advance, should be a while-you-wait job.

Cheers James, did not know that about left veering. Will certainly try the M62 middle lane VMAX.

BTW how's the pipe and slippers mobile panning out?

It's a whole different kind of experience. For a start, it's cost nothing beyond petrol to run so far. With the Tuscan I'd probably have made two or three trips down to B&Q for some bit of rubber or adhesive by now. It's a hell of a lot faster than I expected, too - torque throughout the range, and it's really fearsome once the supercharger winds up. Now I've got the tyre pressures right on it, the handling's better than I expected, too - you can really throw it about once you get used to not having as much feedback on what's going on at the wheels. (The gadgets help out a lot there) Oh, and it sounds phenomenal & gets way more attention than I was expecting.

Still have a serious hankering after something smaller, convertible, with three consonants on the bonnet, though. If Tamoras were down to £15k, I'd be tempted to have one for weekends... but that'd miss the point of switching to being a one car (one man) family to save some money for a bit.

Definitely made the right choice, but I miss the Tuscan soooooooo much every day the Sun's out (good job Derby's usually got pretty dismal weather, really).

Will watch closely and see if a couple of rumours I heard have any substance or not, then think about getting another Tivtoy next year (but probably not as my "main" car unless it's brand new).

Oh, and to add to that, short of an DB9 + F360 Spider/MC12, I think a modified XKR + convertible Tiv (Tusc mk2 Conv / Tamora RR) is possibly the best car combination I can think of right now.
