the alarm on my Mk2 has started going off at the drop of a hat. Can the sensitivity be adjusted or could there be a problem

Mine was the same from new. My dealer quickly adjusted it. I dont know if its a simple 2 min do at home job. Being a Tiv I doubt. Why not ring your dealer, they should be able to advise, but in answer to your Q yes it can be done.

There is a microwave unit with a small sensitivity adjuster, probably under the leather transmission cover at the front. The factory don't seem to bother to adjust this when building the car and the dealers dont bother in PDI. Your dealer should be able to easily adjust it.

I've had two new TVR's and on the first one in 98 the unit was set so a wind gust would set it off, so it's first night outside my house it was unalarmed and I had to go up to the dealers the next morning to get it adjusted. On the Tuscan in 2000, it was set so low it did not even work! I did not even notice that for about 2 years!

Good to see the new quality programme is working well
