Do I need them?
Bought a Tuscan today, trade in the Chimeara.
The guy also has some brand new 18" spider wheels still in the box, for £500. Should I buy them? The car has 'standard' wheels on now with SO3's on the back and SO2's on the front I think.
If I buy them what is the best tyre to put on them? I wil probably keep the old set for track days.

Any advice would be welcome.

Is that £500 for a set of 4, without tyres?

If you don't want them, send me the details of the seller and I'll take them off his hands.

Yeah but,
Are all 4 wheels the same? are ther technical issues to consider?
Wil the geometry need redoing?
Are the offsets the same?

£500 for the rims, with the TVR logo on one spoke, is good value.

Call up your dealer tomorrow and ask about geometry and offsets.

Is the TVR logo a transfer, or stencilled on?

Didn't look to closely, but would say stencilled/etched.
Looked pretty nice in the box, but really concentrating on doing the deal with P/x of the Chimaera.

LOL, indeed, I ask because on my near 1K in cost service I just had I had the front tyres changed, and the monkies that chaged the tyres have evidentilly dropped the wheel onto the floor right onto the contact edge of each of the spider spokes, thus half removing/scratching off most of the TVR logo, meaning that rather than a simple rim refurbish, I now need the whole wheel done , of course, the dealer hasn't rectified it, despite us showing him what had happened, resulting in a lost future customer!

Bad luck Chris. I'm surprised they didn't come to the party.
