As my car is coming up to 2 years old now, and the factory warranty is due to expire soon, I'm looking at getting an after-market one.

I've tried searching the archives, but it's out of action at the moment, so just wondered if anyone could recommend any particular companies. Car Plan and Car Care have both been mentioned to me, but I've not really heard too much about either of them.

Please feel free to mail me directly if you'd prefer not to post on here, especially if you've had problems with any of the companies - don't want to break Ted's naming-and-shaming rules

Ed have you asked the factory if they will extend your current warranty.
Could be worth a try.

Ed - see

over in the T350/Tamora section. I phoned the factory on this matter and regrettably after yr 1, does not appear possible to extend the warranty. Wide variety of thought on this matter on PH - some say save the cash in a "rainy day fund", some prefer the formal after-market route.

Am very interested in your choice as I have 3 mths left of engine-only warranty left and am torn. Many in the know are saying put the case to one side.
