so... Mrs 666 is running like a sewing machine after the rebuild and all is well.

except that an MOT attempt resulted in the discovery of the fact that a shock is fecked...I mean really fecked..oil-drippping-out-fecked.

Clearly only 'gave up' on the way to the 1K service for the rebuild... as I'd have noticed pools of shock oil on my garage floor.

It's at times like there that you realise that if there is a god (which there isn't), he certainly has a sense of humour.

n ee way. bottom line is I need a pair of from shocks on my RR 2000. with labour...probably 600 quid ?

or... could go for nitrons for 1200 odd quid. Possibly better over all set up (though it was fine before.

Do you reckon there are enuf knowledgable buyers out there so that when I eventaully sell it, I can get the extra cash (600 quid over just doing the fronts) back ?

I reckon anyone doing their homework will realise the advantage of Nitrons. Anyway, there's such an improvement that if they have driven standard cars and then yours with Nitrons I'm sure they will come round.

You won't regret the extra.

I have a set of 01 RR shocks in the garage (changes to Nitrons) you are welcome to them if they are of use.

1 front leaks, rest are ok.
