Hello everyone,

Mk1 Tuscan radiator fans not coming on at all. Firstly I checked the two 30amp fuses and swapped the relay, no joy. I then checked the connections to the fans, a little corroded so I cleaned them, no joy. I moved to the temp sensor, everything looked fine, I metered the sensor and noticed the impedance increasing very gradually as the engine cooled. My question is can I disconnect the sensor cable and short the out going side to the ecu to fool it into thinking the engine is hot to see if the fans run?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Disconnecting the temp sensor should make the fans run constantly. If you have the diag software it shows what reading the ecu is seeing from it's temp sensor, as the dash is fed from a different one.
