What can I say about this car. Fantastic!
You may notice the DAB aerial is not placed on the boot as I think the car looks much better without the lines being broken up but it seems to work OK.
The build quality seems good overall. The passenger door isn't quite set correctly but apart from that the ambiance is a step up than before. The leather feels a much thicker and better quality than before, for example.
I adjusted the brightness and contrast for maximum pod visbility and
although I had the roof on (I know, I know) I could see the speed
and revs wearing my sunglasses. Just. The smaller writing was more
problematic. It's a good idea anyway to change the default settings as there is a lower brightness for when the headlights are on - which is no good at dawn/dusk when you're wearing your sunglasses. I don't know why they haven't got a revs and oil/water temperature screen on the same display - but I've worked out a system where that information is just one right button press away from a revs display.
The advice given to me on running in - cold (< 70 water temp) - 2500
rpm max, warm 3500 - avoid constant speed running. After about 600
miles the advice was to open up a little to 4000 rpm. I must say
this engine is incredibly eager and smooth even with only has 60 miles on the clock - especially when compared to when I ran my first
car in 4 years ago. TVR have tuned the exhuast note on the MkII -
slightly more bassy and more CCC like. The characteristic whistle at
low revs has now gone.
I've already got used to the steering wheel and the Cerbera like
indicator stalk - and learnt not to rest my finger on the headlight
flasher button! In fact I prefer this setup to any other car now.
New factory recommended tyre pressures are 28 all round (Goodyear Eagle F1s).
Cheers,
Andy.

have you not had any problems with the spoiler filling with water yet? every time i have seen these new cars there are some serious pools of water held on top of the boot by the spoiler. would really pi55 me off every time i wanted to go in my boot!
Lovely looking car, the interior is spot on, good choice.

Great car. Pools of water easily removed from gurney (I think that's what TVR now call it) by a flick of the fingers before opening the boot if you just happened to have washed the car or left it standing in the rain.
Having just converted from a Griff, after having said I could never do so because I was so wedded to the V8 experience, I'm already amazed at the extra response and handling (sound even) although still running-in and haven't yet driven at high revs.
Where is your DAB areial, then? I'm struggling to work mine anyway - especially as the head-set doesn't seem to be covered by the DAB manual. But for radio reception generally - it's great that it works under all conditions - a great improvment on the built-in Griff aerial.
My dealer recvommended 26 psi all round.
Happy motoring!

I haven't looked but someone else said the DAB may be inside the boot on the passenger side tucked right up in the corner under the carpet. I've no idea how to use the DAB - the manual is definitely written in Japanese-English - but I did manage (somehow) to find some stations. Not anyones I wanted but I'll persist!
The 28 psi all round was the latest as of end of March.
Cheers,
Andy.
