When I close either door on my Mk. 2, the window may, or may not, wind-up. I expect it to remain where it is, unless I lock the car, which is what the (Mk. 1) manual suggests should happen. My dealer thought this was wrong but, after investigating, has informed me that all cars do this, and there does not appear to be any particular pattern to the problem, which has been referred to the factory. He thought that most people are untroubled by the problem, because they generally don't want the window(s) left open anyway. However, I am in the habit of leaving the driver's window down when I park in my garage, and, for example, would always want to leave the windows down when I remain in sight of the car parked with the roof of. What are your experiences/ views?

All the best,
Richard
