I have no personal experience of this, but understand that is a type of indicator bulb that appears 'white' when off, but orange when 'on'. Therefore, for those of us who have the white indicator lenses, a clear white bulb would make the whole assembly look, eh, 'white' when these bulbs are fitted.

So, does anyone have experience of this and can say what these bulbs are, who makes, available where, how much etc please?

Ta very much,
Bryan

I think they are coated in silver and then flash orange and you can get them in most boy racer car places (Halfords etc).

Yep Silver or blue. Tried to fit some to my Tuscan, after hours of swearing and a had full of fiberglass I gave up. Even my wife had a go (in here marigolds) and couldnt get at them. Going to ask to have them fitted at the next sevice.

I thought they were fairly accessible through the hatches in the inner wings?

I've seen LED ones on the web as well. Not sure of cost.

Why pay £12 a set when you can simply spray some silver paint onto your existing bulbs and get the same effect. Been doing this for years ,the current ones on the Tuscan have been done for 18 months and still perfect, no more fried egg look.

Hmmm, that's an interesting idea Phil. I guess the biggest problem is just getting at the little buggers. Not the kind of job you can do at the roadside. I probably still have shards of GRP in the skin on my hands from when I had a Chimaera that needed a headlight bulb changing! And why do TVRs always have lots of sharp screws sticking out, that you can't see, where you have to put your hands to change bulbs, doh!

well you would think so, they may be worse on the S as it has all the xenon light gubbings in there too, but I gave up. Wondered about putting LED ones in there so they wont need changing.
