When you are driving along minding your own business, and a Boxster undertakes you on a slip road joining the A2.I have nothing against Boxsters, my Butler has a Boxster S and very nice it is too. This one however contained a very smug conceited chap who chose to wave me bye bye as he put his foot down. Normally I am not of a childish disposition, but I must say I got enormous satisfaction seeing his expression change to misery as I floored the Tusc through the gears and left him for dead. A quarter of a mile up the road I slowed to a more sedate place to allow him to pass should he wish to do so. Needless to say he rather sheepishly stayed well behind. When I got home I actually patted the car, like complimenting a race horse.
Its the little pleasures in life like this that make owning a Tusc so rewarding.
Whilst I am now smiling with a G&T, I wonder how he feels!!!

Well done.
This is my problem with Porches. The people I know that have them, and others I see driving them often seem to have this very smug and arrogant 'I've got the best, fastest, most beautiful car on the road' attitude, 'cos some car magazine said it's the best sports car. I mean, waving good bye to you!! What a tw*t. Shows what he knows about cars really.
I pulled into the Shell garage in Northallerton a couple of weeks back and was filling up when a guy in a brand new 996/997? pulled in and parked at the next pump.
Whilst he filled up, his (extremely gorgeous blonde
) passenger spent the whole time looking at my motor, even swivelling around in her seat to watch us leave as I reversed back to turn around.

Know that feeling Di,
I have only taken the bait once, on an autobahn towards London when only him up there will know why the bahn was closed at the point.
The 4th lane had been closed for some time, no cones etc just the red x above the lane, when suddenly all lanes were closed, again red x's only, I was at the front of the 3rd lane and static when appearing from the 4th lane was a AMG 55 Coupe, he stopped and gave me an eyeballing then moved forward and crossed into my lane in front of me, we must have waited at least 15mins or so when all lanes became clear, a cloud of smoke in front of me was all I needed to bring the teenager out of me, I was never more than 20" from his rear and when his limiter kicked in, the CAT had his cream. I just slowed up behind him as he dropped to 70mph and stayed like that for around 20 miles or so, I never had a desire to beat him, just proving, for 50k less I owned a far better, performing and looking car than he did, and gives me just as much fun.
Good on you.
Best Regards,
James Sim.

I suspect that the biggest sickener for Porker owners is that however much they've spent on their jalopy, given a choice onlookers will always stare at the Tuscan. I say this from experience, having pulled out behind a new 100K 911 turbo in heavy traffic, and getting all the attention ! I guess it's at least partly down to rarity, as Porkers are ten-a-penny in the South East. Give the Porker it's due, though - it did make rather a splendid noise when the driver blipped the throttle.
Relieved to know I am not alone when occasionally visiting the "dark side". I dont think there are many owners who dont, under extreme provocation, react by unleashing the beast within. (the car not moi)
Dont think it would hold up in court though. "It was the contemptuous wave that done it m'lud"
C'est la vie.

I love it. I was driving to Wales a week ago
when I saw something travelling rather fast behind me. Being within the legal speedlimits of the law he didn't take long to catch me
. He then slowed down and hovered between the lanes behind me, then slowly pulled alongside in his new 911 C4s. With a wink of the blonde in the passenger seat he pulled off almost taking away my front end as he was trying so hard to turn his neck a full 180 to look at my car!!!
With the Carbons Cans mine sounded better too

Well done Di!
I confess to once having taken the bait - against a Ferrari 355 Spyder. I was quite satisfied with leaving him, and his gorgeous blonde (female I hasten to add) passenger behind. Problem was, I nearly needed a dragster type parachute to stop for the rapidly approaching traffic light (at red) about 1/2 mile in front of me, which arrived rather more quickly that it should have done

I have to own up to taking the bait a couple of times on the autobahn (once returning the favour to a Maseratti 3200GT which had eaten my M3 for breakfast a couple of years back, before I had the Tuscan).
The second time, it was outside the Victoria and Albert Museum in West London, when a brand new M3, an F355 spider and myself found ourselves lined up on the traffic lights...naturally I rapidly dissappeared out of sight with some dramatic wheel spin in first and second gear...to my surprise in the distance, i could see the M3 and not the F355...must have been down to the driver who approached me at the next traffic lights to ask "how fast is this thing?!"
Finally, and perhaps in my naughtiest road contact in the UK, I raced a convertible M3 driven by a very arrogant young man (but with a very attractive girl on the co-driver's seat, both of us that is ;-) on...Oxford Street...to my credit I declined a repeat at the next traffic lights, especially since by the time I had changed into 2nd gear he was far, far , far behind me...
