I've succumed to the website paranoia and failure mentality.
In the last couple of months I've noticed my idle speed on startup from cold, seemed to have dropped to 5-600 revs, when warm would be 6-700.
Checking all relevant posts etc in the last 6 months history, I was convinced that the least of my problems would be valve clearances needing adjusted etc.
Car's been gone for 2 days for checkup and has been given a clean bill of health, all but 2 valves are spot on whilst the rouge 2 are less than a thou out. Idle screw needed slight adjustment, in hindsight I'm still glad I done it for my piece of mind, even although the car has been running lovely, I had a niggly worry given what others had experienced.

What can we do to stop this kinda thinking? whatever my bill comes to, the £'s could've been better spent on Grape juice and keep me away from that Gripe juice that settles my worries and indigestion.

Best Regards,

James Sim.

a) Don't surf the web
b) Meeting other Tuscan owners in the flesh
c) Planting your right foot to the alluminium floor

Cheers Andy,
I know what you mean but,
a, It's my fix, couldn't deal with the cold turkey of not surfing the site.
b, not easy when I have the only Tuscan here and no club to attend, it packed up a few years ago, although there is a stronger association in Guernsey, I'll maybe try that one out.
I've also tried in the past to check if any meets are taking place when I'm in the UK, better forward planning etc reqd.
c, I like this one and with a full 12 points to play with I'll certainly give it ago.

Best Regards,

James Sim.
