Hi, at MOT time my tester recommended changing the near side track rod end on my 2000 Tuscan Red Rose. My garage ordered one locally here in Scotland but when it came it was too short and not as 'chunky' as mine. So I then phoned TVR parts and asked if there was more than 1 type of TRE used on Tuscans. They assured me that they were all the same, so I ordered one off them. BUT, when it arrived it was the same as the one sourced locally, I.e too short and with a smaller diameter stud. Anyone help me out with a part number or donor vehicle for early Tyscan Red Rose TRE. By the way, I've owned the car since new, but several different TVR specialists have serviced it over the years. Thanks.

Hi. I've just replaced both of mine with H0314 units from TVR parts. They were different to the ones fitted in that they were about 12mm shorter which turned out to be hilarious as I didn't realise this as first... No idea if the ones fitted were 'original' or sourced elsewhere. No issues with the spigot size.

My car's not a RR, but I don't think the lower links or track rod ends are different.

The TREs are from the Rover SD1, part number GSJ149 I think.
