Hi All,

Could it be that the new MK2 nose is a little bit modified?
I mean I have one of the early MK2's and they don't have the oval aperture one both sides compared to the ones who are leaving the factory at the moment.
I my model openings are underneath and not visible.
Quiet hard to explain without a picture.
Anyone noticed this also?

Hi Koen
I think you could be mixing up the standard MK2 with the "S" which has a different "splitter" at the front. Many of the profiles of the new owners show the difference. If thats not what you mean, then I havent yet noticed.

Hello Di,

If you look closely to the nose of Russion R's car and yours, I think there's a different shape ABOVE the splitter and below the small lights. It was also absent in the first demo-cars.
Can sent some pictures if you want.

Sorry Koen,
My eyesight must be bad, I have been staring at R R's car and mine and I cant spot the difference. Frustrated now. Other pics would be useful.
Di

Just looked at Flash's front on pics and I still cant see a difference what am I not seeing??

I can see that mine and the Lady's car both have these openings, but the photos of Russian R's and your car are too dark to see whether you have the same - I guess you're saying not.

I've just had a look, and mine seems to be cooling the horn or something on the drivers side.

Cheers,

Andy.

Lady Di & Andy,

I've sent LD an email with pictures showing a difference IMO.

Maybe LD can post them on Pistonhead.
Andy, If you sent me a mail I can post them to you.
The comparison is between your car and Russian R.

Cheers,

Koen

Still very difficult to see from the angle. Does yours not have the two oval apertures?Maybe a modification was introduced, but your is about the same age as mine isnt it Koen? I would have thought they would be the same !!

In my car both apertures are located underneath and are not visible when you look at the front of the car. Hidden from the eye !!!!!
Both models have “changed” The Tuscan and The Tuscan S.
Maybe it’s better for the water drainage?

The first 60 or so Tuscan 2s did have a more oval mouth.
