Hi all, I'm looking to change the ICE in my Tuscan Mk1 so that I have integrated Sat-Nav. I currently have my phone on a custom mount I made which sits in the shelf between the instrument pod and radio, but it isn't solid enough for my OCD
I don't want a fixed ipad screen, so it looks like a flip out 7" screen is the best option. There seem to be loads of Chinese ones with various versions of Android (genuine or not......) , or Pioneer seem to do one which uses your phone as the screen (with an integral phone holder).
Has anyone any experience of the flip out screens (will they clear the "leather" surround), and do they actually fit? When I changed the radio last time the fibreglass shell which forms the radio housing left almost no space for cables on what was a shorter unit.
has anyone tried one of these Android based units? Feedback seems to be mixed.
Thanks in Advance

That looks very neat and it clears the cowling. Can it be angled more towards the driver or is it easy enough to see as is and is that a USB port for charging/streaming in the last photo?
The cradle can be tilted in landscape and swivelled in portrait not found a problem in viewing it apart from in strong sunlight.
Yes, to the left is a USB port, bit of trial and error got me a very short lead with correct angled plugs so no long trailing leads
