electric window

yet another problem
passenger window sticks in the down position..
it winds down ok,, slow at the ast bit,, but wont come up on its own,, you hav to pull it for the first second or so, then it motors up on its own,
have taken interior trim off, and have oiled,, greased tracks,, its slightly better but still wonts go up on its own,,
its a pain,, and I dont want the motor to burn out trying to heave the window up..
have not disconnected the fout bolts that clamp the window glass to the runner mechanism as worried about breaking glass when re-tighening,,
so anyone any thoughts,,,,,,,
many thanks in advance

I've had the same problem in the past. It's the window encoder. It gets damp and doesnt know the position of the window. You need to pull the window up the last 10 inches to get it to close.. Get it to the dealer. They will swap out the encoder for 25 quid or thereabouts. Good Luck.
Yep had the same problem when in France last year, solution was the same new encoder.
