Does this mean you'll be going for the Sagaris then?

Sure are something special.

If I wasn't able to keep a more modern TVR I'd certainly want a Big Bad Wedge! Hope you are'nt away from the TVR seat for too long.

As far as prices are concerned, it's never easy to predict, because it's a buyers market - I bought ten months ago. I was prepared to pay a premium for history, history and ... history. In the end I didn't even want a test drive of the car. But I reckon buyers like me are one in 60 billion and I wish you luck out there.....

....are you sure you don't want to keep it - sadly you won't get what it's worth to you in all the intangibles

Look at my threads they will give you an idea...roughly, I sold my mint 2001 Tuscan for 21K, I am confident I would have fetched 23K if I was patient...it was an immaculate car though, the new owner has confirmed that and I had every confidence it would pass any inspection...

In any case, don't let people fool you into believing that you should feel lucky to receive 15-20K for your Tuscan...this is purely defeatist. I consider 21K to be the absolute bottom line for a good early Tuscan.

Thanks mercurius,

I have a 2001 X Tuscan I was hoping around that mark I rang Fernhurst out of interest and they said 16.5K the blokes the next best thing to a debt collector.. daylight robbery...

I think these people take advantage of people in bad financial situations :O((

Just have to see what happens, would like mine to go to an enthusiast like me.

To be fair to Fernhurst I think that is a fair offer in the current market... They are after all in business to make themselves money not you

I've heard of MUCH lower trade in offers for similar cars.

Fernies offer that sort of money because they budget around £3-4k to respray front end, to get rid of stone chips, give a full service, MOT and sort other bits and bobs out before it goes to the next customer. Doesn't make it any easier though! You should have seen what I was offered for my old 4.5 Cerb about a year ago or so!

Basically, it depends on how much of a rush you are in to sell. I had my 4.0 2000 X on at 24995 just under a year ago, fernies offered me 18 and best private offer was 22.5. In the end I decided not to sell, as I was getting too much enjoyment out of her (and still am!!!!!!). Residuals are OK, as if you think about it, there are boxters out there for 15-18K. They cost a minimum of 35K new. There will always be people out there wanting supercars for peanuts.

My guess is that you should put it on for 21-22K depending on the mileage??? and expect offers of around 20k.

crbyt 3-4K for a front end respray Im sure TVR central do this for under a grand...?

Mines just going in for a service next week to...

Just have to see what happens or you never could end up keeping it too but need a car with more seats now.

Also I'm not desperate to sell so wont take a silly offer.
