First posting on p.h so be gentle! Just got back from 2500 mile trip to Italy... car was just faultless and there were a few times it wasn't just cruising!!! I started reading p.h about a month after buying my Tuscan and in a way glad I did because so many people have had serious issues I honestly think I would have been put off. The car was/is just awesome for everything from reliability- 4 hours inching up the approach to the St Gothard tunnel in 40 degrees. Performance- a MAD drive with an audi on the autostrada when he heard me change down at 125 and realised I hadn't been trying as hard as he was (a German who spoke good English). Reaction- well where do you start in Italy? the kids leaning out of their car at 60 to take pictures with camera phones, the car parked up but getting more attention than a parade of Ferrari's. And the service from Castle TVR in Essex for not slamming the phone down when I phone for the tenth time panicking the oil had reached 90 degrees. Excuse the ramble but I waited 4 years to buy the car I wanted more than any other and felt that anybody thinking to buy a Tuscan should read how truly great they can be. That's it I'm retiring now!!

Well done John, enjoy the car, they are crazy machines. I took my Tuscan Redrose to France and opened her up, just a joy...

Dont know if you have been invited to the Mid Essex Meet or know of it, but there is a meet just outside Maldon every 2nd sunday of the month, being this Sunday...

Yellow Peril is the RO, and I think there is a sticky on the general TVR page...
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=199052&f=13&h=0

your get to meet petrol heads alike, and there can be anything upto 70 TVRs there...

Take it easy, drive safe

Took my Tuscan down to France in July and had a great reaction everywhere we went. And the car did not miss a beat.

It is a fantastic car!

I have had to sell mine though and I was forced to buy a Sagaris. Both are great cars, I just needed to level out the running costs.

I'll be sad to loose the Tuscan

Should get the Sagaris Tomorrow!

Cheers

It was simple really......

4 year old Tuscan with no waranty and £5-6k worth of work needed plus 12k service etc.

OR

New Segaris with 3 year waranty and 3 year service free. Hey who am I to quibble.

Just noticed this - 3 year's free servicing as well? Am I reading this correctly?

John what a great story. TVR's are fabulous beasts and your experience is much more common than the moaners would want us to believe. I had a fantastic time in France in my T350 ,the French love TIV's too. Enjoy every minute of your car-Tuscans are very special machines!

If this really is possible, I might have to have a whole 'budget' rethink
