YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! What spec?
Spectraflair Silver, blue / grey full leather, 18" silver spiders, 4.0L S6 engine, larger boot spoiler ( I know some people arn't keen on them but I think they look the dogs taters). I didn't go for the A/C option.
Looking forward to the call from the factory to have a look around.
ROLL ON OCTOBER.
Oh yes, and loud blue flame cans.

Congrats on migrating from Chimaeras to Tuscans
. I did it earlier this year, as did Big Al and a few others.
Looks a stunning colour.
You might want to re-think the A/C option
. I spent a long time researching this question and decided to go for A/C. I don't regret the decision one bit as it can get a bit warm in the cabin with the roof on. Also when it is raining and a bit cold outside, the cabin can steam up - the A/C clears this. The fan is not the strongest in the world and it really needs the coldest air possible going through into the cabin to keep you cool. No doubt others will disagree but that's my take anyway.
On a financial note - thinking about resale time - my TVR dealer has said that he is very reluctant to buy in/trade in Tuscans without A/C as he finds that non A/C cars do not sell too easily. If he is pushed into a trade-in without A/C, then he would mark it down heavily as it will sit in the showroom for much longer.
Enjoy the Tuscan when it arrives - it has an amazing grin factor.

Listen to me carefully. My A/C used to switch off when I had my pod problems. One day after a 10 mile trip without A/C I exited the car looking like I'd just taken a shower fully clother. The most uncomfotable 20 mins of my life!
Without A/C you soon realise just how small the cockpit is and how big the engine is. It's like being in a tank.
Also TVR A/C only loosly meets the description of A/C it's not like full on A/C, it just gives you the ability to have air that's cooler than the engine enter the car.
And don't think you can just open the windows, because open windows and motion equals back screen going pinging down the road.
SO IF I WERE YOU I WOULD ORDER IT WITH A/C!!!!!!!

How is that not a serious safety issue??? I once had a gust of wind suck the (not correctly secured by me) sunroof out of my car back in 1996. I watched as it shot about 15 feet in the air and exploded all over the road behind me. The car behind had thankfully not been that quick away from the lights - had he been smarter away, my sunroof would have blasted through his windscreen. I dread to think what 'might have been'.
PLEASE tell me this is one thing that VR acknowledged as a fault and have quickly made sure this never happens????
Oi Craig - I was first in the queue for a free
!!!!
Re rear screen, I drive with the targa top in the boot with (most of the time) the rear screen not in the boot. Have driven (with side windows up) at speeds up to
with no problems whatsoever. Just make sure the clips are done up properly.

I would certainly recommend speccing A/C as well. The vast majority of cars have it and questions will be asked about this when it comes to selling it on one day. The engine, like your Chimaera's, is a big lump and produces alot of heat - just look at the scooped design of the bonnet and twins fans - all there to cope with it. Having A/C could be a life saver on the days when it is just too hot to drive in the sun, but unbearable in the cabin with the roof on.
I would also check out the feedback from the Al Melling (S6 engine designer) talk last weekend. I don't want to put a dampner on things, but it would appear that (if it is all to be believed), that the engines can be improved upon - and these improvements are currently not included in the design (not something I say lightly as I am sure you know my fondness for my own Tuscan!).

Yes, go for the A/C option, came standard on the S, but I would have spec'd it anyway. As for the engine, 3yr warranty had alot to do with me buying a TVR again.
