Looking to take the cats' off during the 12,000 service, can anyone let me know where I can source the reducing pipes to re-connect the manifold to the rest of the exhaust. And if anyone has had this work done does it reduce the booming when accelerating between 2500 and 3500 revs, I already have sport pipes fitted so not over worried about extra noise;)

Dont do it.. every1 practicly has had to replace the cats as it is ear splittingly loud... get the rear back box just before the cans baffles cut out as there r some in there... then it creates a deeper sound + still V loud..

Do it. If you like it noisy ..

peninsiula do the decat pipes, i think TVR Power also do them, along with a decat chip. JSG had it done and his car (now sold on) made good power.

the SP6 is also a clean engine when running right, so you may just scrape a legitimate MOT if you're lucky

Where are you in Essex?

Give me a few weeks to re-build my Tuscan, we could meet up somewhere and I'll show you what a de-catted CCC'd car sounds like

There is a video of mine on a rolling road
on Lucca's website www.sleepy-fish.com that
will give you a fair idea of what it sounds like at max speed.
Personally I love it
