Hi there, just wondering if there is any way of making the 2000 s6 as quick as the s6'S meaning 400 bhp without taking engine apart to red rose it and an expensive bill, and if so do I then need the other upgrades, suspension, brakes etc.Really hoping for a cheap way like remap like other cars but never heard of one on a tuscan, but probably wrong,be nice to know though.

Thanks G9eg.:)

You could get in touch with Austec for a remap job or go for an Emerald ECU. I think they both work out around the £1k mark. If you are still running on the original suspension then it's well worth considering an upgrade. Nitrons work very well.

The 400 bph has bigger injectors, a ported head, bigger bore pipes for the exhaust, and the remapp (and the steel crank and balanced engine)

You might get around 375 (ish) depends how strong your engine is in the first instance

I'm sure Austec have got more than that out of a 3.6.

It's a 4.0ltr not 3.6,does this make this any easier.

That depends on whether you believe the 3.6 is a 3.6 or not.

Having seen what remaps can achieve on cerberas, I'm sure a S6 would respond well. Give Austec a bell as I've not seen anything on here about results for a while.

They Got 375 from mine, but it had 360 when it went in, so only 15 bhp more top end, but loads more through the range
