"Fluttering" Oil Lamp

the car's engine was rebuilt 2k ago, run in perfectly. Now under hard acceleration the oil lamp warning comes on "flutteringly"> Is this bad? or just the pod behaving normally!?!

Any hint of an oil pressure problem at other than tickover is a potentially serious problem. Hopefully it's just a loose wire on the oil pressure switch moving under the G loads, but it could easily be something more serious. Do you have an oil pressure gauge to confirm whether the oil pressure really is dipping?

Have you by any chance had the oil pressure sender replaced?

the bastard was rebuilt 4 weeks ago! I will task the dealer.
