squeaky dash

Been reading the forum bout the mice in the window (squeaky rear window) and wanted to ask anyone if they experienced a squeaky dash, if so what,it was?
Ive tried to locate it but found its much wiser to look at the road and of course just cant find it when its stationary (around the front shelf). Do I turn the music up or seek out and destroy.

any experiences welcomed!

It will be the leather around your speedo pod rubbing, squeaking and creaking. You can tighten a couple of screws and lubricate the leather where it fits into the aluminium bits.

After my dash was put back in after a wiring loom problem it had developed an annoying squeak.

Found that it was from right at the front where it was touching the windscreen. Think part of the problem was that it had all been valeted nicely and the dash covered in some kind of dressing which caused it to squeak when rubbing the glass.

I also found a mouse's house inside the pod with a little entrance and exit hole trimmed in brass.
