History of Tuscan vin # SDLEA26AXYB001182
Discussion
Does anyone have any history on ths car... it's ringing alarm bells. Specificially, I'd like to know why it has been extensively modified.
An auction has in Australia has a 2000 TVR Tuscan S (is there such a thing?) coming up..
It's new to country as it was only complied in April 2025..so I'm suspect an import and sell job. It seems a decent car but it's a mix of Mk1 and Mk2..with Tuscan S badges and spoiler. It presents well and looks as if quite a lot of money was spent..unsure if it was a CAT D that was repaired and exported.
Information is available by searching for "TVR Tuscan SDLEA26AXYB001182" and looking for an Australian auction house website.
Thanks.

If the year of the car is correct, then it will have to be a MK1 (non-S) as the MK1 S was released in 2001.
Clearly someone s converted the exterior to be a MK2 S.
Pictures can be deceiving, but it looks to have been done to a good standard, except they forgot the badge on the bonnet.
Some might argue you ve got the best of both worlds with MK2 looks/aero and the MK1 interior. I would imagine the car doesn t have the internal upgrades to S spec, nor the chassis tweaks of the MK2… but you can t say for sure.
There are websites that will check the insurance category history from the vin: you ll need to pay a few quid for the check.
