Gents, bit of help please..
I’ve looked at MOTACLAN website, and the Speed6 Dallas chips are nil stock.
I’ve also checked RaceTech Direct, and they are not listed against any of the Speed6 cars.
Am I correct in saying that Powers hold them?

Seem to recall that they were available from Farnell(?). Just a case of getting the correct specifications.
TIA Nick

I believe the chips are the same for Sp6 and V8. I replaced mine in 2018 on my 4.2 Cerb with. . .

https://uk.farnell.com/maxim-integrated-products/d...

Open the MBE and check the number just to be sure.

Powers supplied a new chip to go with my 4.0 Sp6 rebuild they did for me to swap out Tamy's 3.6 chip for when I swapped out the engine.

You'd need a new base map chip when going from a 3.6 to a 4.0 to provide extra fuel etc. I got a new chip from Powers when I upgraded my 4.2 to a 4.5, but the Dallas chip is for the adaptive values only and remains the same.

Just really to close this one out.

The chip on the Farnell link provided on the first reply matches the DALLAS id exactly.
Thanks to all those that replied.
