My Tuscan has decided to break itself sat in the garage. The fuel pump is priming and it's cranking but it will not start. Any ideas on things I can check myself. Thanks Simon

If the fuel pump is priming and the engine is cranking then the immobiliser is working, as it controls those 2 circuits.

Hmm, think I replied to a similar plea in Facebook Messenger?

The immobiliser cuts 1) Fuel pump supply, 2) feed to starter, and 3) feed to ignition supply.

I've had a similar set of conditions in Sainsbury's car park. 'Phoned Dave at HF Solutions and he advised to locate white wire with red trace at 24 pin multi-plug and bridge it.....It worked!
On return home, I located/followed the wire and found a smaller connector in the loom from the Meta unit. It resembles a phone charger plug, - - bit of contact cleaner and toothbrush on contacts and all was good.

Check you have a spark, if not possible coil pack. This happened to me but was intermittent, new coil pack fixed it.

Is this on a Tuscan as I thought only the earlier M36T had 3 circuits, the M36T2 has 2?

I have ordered a coil pack, it has started to run a bit rough with a missfire.

OK, I'm advising on the situation I found myself in at that time.

Dave Fairclough advised to bridge the ignition (White with red tracer) wire and I was able to start my car - 2004 Tuscan S.
