Hello All, just a quick one, does this button, as well as lock the passenger door and boot, also unlock same. Or are they unlocked by first opening passenger door.
TIA Paul

Hi, I guess you mean the door releases either side of the radio pod (Mk.1)? Can't comment for Mk.2.

No, the internal button only unlatches the passenger side door.
Although the pass. door and boot use the same ECU, the wiring must be so configured that the door unlatches from the door buttons and the boot unlatches only from the boot release.

I think you mean the small button on the back of the dash tray? If so I think it locks the doors only and you need to arm and disarm the alarm to release it.

OK, thanks. Yes I should have explained better. The button beside the imobiliser socket. It locks boot and passenger door, but doesn't release lock. I can open door from inside as normal and once this is done boot opens too. So I am guessing this normal then

Yes that sounds normal, although I didn't realise it locks the boot as well.
