Not much luck on the General page so maybe Tuscaneers to the rescue?

Out of pure voyeur-like interest and in seeking inspiration, I am looking to get a bunch of pictures of custom audio installs and interior retrimming jobs on TVRs.

Please post your pics, or links, on this thread if at all possible, with details of where you got it done, rough cost, or even if you did it yourself- any sources of inspiration would help. I would like to take this back to the regional meeting because it has come up as an area of interest. No commercial interest please.

From the pimp to the gimp, I wanna know what's out there now. Forgive me if this topic has come up before-I don't want to face a boozy chorus of 'look up the old thread' though!

Many thanks
Oz

Hi Keith and other silent ones

I don't know how to upload a picture from my hard drive on to this thingy, being a no good toad'n'all. So I have changed the picture on my profile to show the install in my car for the moment. Check it out, my homies. Quite.

Trimmed in Alcantara. MDF Cabinet. Those silver speakers are Vibe ones, the rest being all Infinity.

The system is used mostly on low speed pootling- on the open road you CAN hear the music because the system is loud with the help of a 600 W RMS amp in the back, BUT the engine note is simply too awesome to ignore at speeds above 50, so the ICE is respectfully turned off then, in case the aliens who make the car and monitor its every move from outer space should get upset and stick a photon beam up me.

I think in retrospect I should have gone for a slightly bigger sub- a 12 " perhaps (the current one is a 10", because the amp can handle more, and in any other mortal car a sub one foot away from your head is enough, but of course, again, the Tuscan is made by malignant aliens who do not know of this music thing that we humans have, and therefore the car needs an extraterrestrially loud audio thump.

Still, the system looks and in my view, the look and the sound completes the car, and the high-end finish silences any critic who says the car is too 'raw'. This car isn't raw, so much as RUDE.

I am looking to do the carpets up, having had a minor DIY disaster with a home-fit effort on the floor mats. Is there any material other than carpet which people think complements the leather well?

PS any help on how to insert a picture on this message thingy- not a website picture but one from memory?

Nice! Thank you for that Big Al.

Please send in more stuff.
I assume you are silenced in awe otherwise.

As for the risk of it being nicked, yes you are correct and it did concern me at first. But then again, a Tuscan anywhere is at risk of costing you money just by standing still. Sh!t happens eh?

More pics more pics moe pics comeon you will you will you will!

Hi Cyberhuss

That was my pic, that Big Al had kindly posted on the thread because I am too hateful of computers to find out how.

Compact Car Audio, Aylesbury. Email me for more details of spec, price, etc if you like.
