Hi y'all.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or can help....
My tuscan (mk1) stalls when coming to a halt at high speed! yet when I start her up and just let her tick everything is fine.... I was hoping this was just idling problem that can be rectified by upping the idling spped...
Also.. When I boot her she splutters a bit.. yet if I gently boot her she is fine! I hope this prob is just HT leads to which I am changing ASAP..
Its just a nightmare gettign her to a dealer and was hoping for some advice....

you could try turning the idle speed up just a tiny bit.. but it could that each butterfly is not set correctly - it is difficult to get an idle then - the revs can jump up (using the idle screw)..
Does the engine seem to chime in nice and smoothly or does each cylinder seem to explote into life .. (hard to describe).. when you push the go pedal smoothly ?

Yeah I am going to turn up the idle a smidge.... I have had a scout through the other past threads and come to realise that I should have been putting Optimax in.. to which I wasnt (I am new to this whole Tuscan performace car thingy) so I have put in Octane boost and a half a tank of optimax and injector cleaner and something else and that seems to be helping a bit.. but revvs still dropp and makes the exhaust clatter away! I have just ordered some magnecor leads.. and will see what its like after that! If not then back to a dealer
the engine seems fine and smooth when in 1000 - 2000 revs then bam, bam, bam, bam, then smooth out of 4500+
