As the topic above states has anyone bought a Tuscan Convertible. I have seen one in a showroom and I am considering having a test drive at christmas.

I am interested to know what an owner thinks of the car.

Possibly but not until next year (no I don't mean 1st January either). Firstly I want to drive one to see if I can notice a difference (If I can't then we will stick with the Tamora) and go for a sagaris (I need to drive one of those too) when the Tam is 18 mths old. Assuming that we like the Tuscan I will then want to spend some time looking at colours on physical cars, before deciding on a specific one. So one of cars I am going to view is Spectrafair and I think I would like to see Titanium and Reflex Charcoal. Oh and also interior colours other than Portland Grey.

Enjoy the process! Can't take the roof off a Saggy though!

Yes that is a good point, but it certainly is a looker though so I could put up without a removable roof.

Over it has a much better finish than any other TVR I have seen. So well done MS.
The Exterior I had a 02 Targa loved but i think the MK2 looks more finished, panel gaps great. Not sorry to lose the cheese gratter the new front is much easier to polish. Interior is by far the best i have seen! The instruments work well, full leather is now a must at £1000.I went for a black dash so the vents are not so noticable, they are not as pretty as the MK1 vents but are easier to adjust. The ford stalks enough said. LEVEN PLEASE COME TO THE RESCUE. Seats same as before, seat belts can be used on my drive so improvment there. No glue so thats good. The Engine sounds great time will tell but dont anticipate any problems.Suspension new damper are brilliant it handles really well in the wet much more predictable. I think the tyres are better too. ITS NOT SOFT ITS JUST BETTER. Gearbox dont now what they have done but much better.Wind noise is better than my old car so not bad for a convertable. Over all big improvment it finally looks and drives like a £50,000 car it is better than the dealer car i drove two months ago so someone has been working hard.

Lee what colour have you gone for? Can I see a piccy (if that's OK)

Also can you not fit the T350/Tamora Metal Stalks over the top. I would have sworn someone said you could.

spectraflair grey I will take some pics when i get a chance. unfortunatly i do not know how to post them but i can mail them if you want. I believe the tamora stalks do fit over as they are just covers. But i prefer the slim stalks of the MK1

We have a design for the stalks in alloy however we have only fitted them on test TVR's to make sure all worked OK. Please contact us direct for more details.

Test drove the factory car 4 weeks ago, same one as at mph05 and on top gear. Smooth progressive drive and suspension felt more compliant for every day than say a Tuscan1. Seat belt fastening is actually more comfortable, but preferred the Sagaris and T350 also a boot was not a major requirement.Ended up with a specced up T350C in Arancio pearl and very happy. I am not a great lover of Tuscan seats and am much happier with the mark 2 winged variety in the T350.Personal preference is agreat thing. Get a test drive

Got mine 3 weeks ago. Did 1200 miles in first week (when you live 600 miles from the dealer not a problem) and I have just picked it up from first service. So 2000+ miles done and all is OK. Only problem so far has been the rear view mirror (kind of ironic). General build quality is good.

I asked the dealer to get the alloy sleeves fitted before I picked it up, so no mondeo stalks for me. These sleeves have simply become 'optional' i.e. you have to pay for them - not that TVR bothered to tell anyone this. Pretty silly behaviour if you ask me but there you are. Mine is Halcyon Space Blue. Pictures soon - although I might have to wash it first, and wait for the rain to stop....

Agree pretty much with Lee02's comments on set-up, but I have not had much time in other TVRs so not much to compare with - it just feels awesome to drive like all TVRs!
