Does anyone else have this Pod warning on their Mk1? It comes on at 2c and continues to beep intermittantly until the outside temp goes above this level. It is helpful to start with, but gets infuriating and frustrating having to press the "reset"/menu button each time - especially when cold.

Welcome to your 1st winter with the Tuscan. I'm sorry to tell you that "they all do that sir".

Agreed - It is very annoying. My only offer of a solution is to turn down the volume of the beeps (in pod setup) and ignore the screen.

Only problem is when this daft warning is on the screen is on you can't
keep an eye on your temps etc.

Mine comes on as a warning when first starting the car, but once cancelled with the button, stays off. Are you saying that it keeps re-appearing? If so it sounds like something may be wrong with the sensor/pod.

Indeed - each time I cancel it from the display, so long as the temp stays below 2c, the warning keeps on coming back every time along with a beep. Will happen if I go from sunlight into shade where temp is lower!!

Def sounds like a problem. Once it's been cancelled it shouldn't reappear until the car is restarted.

On my 2003 car, if I cancel the warning it stays off as long as the temperature is below the 2C threshold. If the temperature rises above 2C then drops below again, the warning comes back. This happens all the time if the temperature is hovering around the 2C mark!

If you think about it, this is exactly how things like the "door open" warning works - if you cancel it, then close and re-open the door, the warning comes back - so I don't think mine's broken, just a bit annoying!

Seconded - perhaps yours does sound like a problem.

Have you driven out in "definitely below 1C" temps and the warning keeps coming up?

I'm glad that the warning doesn't go away,
What a reminder to everybody that the winter is upon us, if you have listened to the radio in the last few weeks, the amount of crashes is a stark warning of the need to be aware of the dangers around us.
My Tuscan will always be used every week, especially in my free time, my daily drive at the moment is a Vectra SRI 2.5, I feel safer in the Tusc without the TRC, ABS that's available to me in the Vauxhall, that said I use the VX 5 days and the Tusc THE 2days.

Enjoy whatever motoring you have at present, and here comes summer,

Best Regards,

James Sim.
