Mk1 Gears / Speeds
Discussion
IIRC the acceleration times are actual from one of the car magazine's tests. The S, with the CR box fitted, gets to about 64 in first and 102 in second gears, bringing the 0-60 and 0-100 times down due to lack of gear changes.
The CR box was a retro fit for the early S cars, as they weren't ready at launch.

I've just unearthed an Autocar from July '03, a 0-100-0 megatest with some very tasty motors. I believe the Tusc S used is TVR's own press car, S6 TVR. 0-30 1.73, 0-60 3.68, 0-100 8.08, 0-100-0 12.52! To 60, not only did it beat the Noble, but also creamed a Lambo Murc, Ultima Can-Am and a Pagani Zonda C12s! The independant testers wrote "While the Noble impressed with a sub-10sec run, the TVR simply blew it into next week by reaching 100 in a scarcely believable 8.08sec". A feel good statement for any TVR owner if ever i heard one.
